Boys Quizzed Over Mill Blaze

After a blaze that involved more than 50 firefighters as it ripped through a disused mill in Lancashire at the weekend, three young boys have been arrested in connection with the subsequent police investigation.

The boys, aged 10, 11 and 14, were questioned after the fire caused extensive damage to the building in Moorgate Street, Blackburn, on Friday.

As well as the large numbers, the fire service also needed to evacuate 15 homes during the blaze, such was the danger.

There had also been concerns that a number of children had become trapped in the fire, so fire crews searched the area during the fire-fighting operation, but all were accounted for.

Those arrested have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
