Soccer Star Plea Over Crete Tragedy

The body of a British teenager has been found on the holiday island of Crete, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

It has since emerged that the deceased is the younger brother of Aston Villa and England footballer Luke Young.

The body of the teen, who was identified earlier as 17-year-old Andre Young, from Saffron Walden in Essex, was found on Wednesday morning in the holiday resort of Malia.

It is understood that he had suffered serious head injuries.

Villa's Luke Young has appealed for anyone with any information that could help them find out what happened to his brother to come forward.

The reality TV star appeared before Basildon Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with driving without a full licence or insurance and on a motorway with only a provisional licence.

Man Found To Be Grooming Young Girls Jailed
A 48-year-old man has pleaded guilty to eight offences of grooming young girls for sexual purposes. Ian Alexander, of Rowland Way, Ashford, Middlesex, was sentenced to a total of three years and five months in prison, and made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, at Isleworth Crown Court on Wednesday, 23 September.

Teenager found guilty of young father's murder
A teenager has been found guilty of murdering young father-of-one Peter Woodhams on the doorstep of his home. Bradley Tucker, 18, shot Mr Woodhams, the father of a three-year-old boy, in Canning Town in east London last August.
