More Time To Quiz Suspects In Ipswich Double Murder

Police investigating a double murder in Ipswich have been granted extra time to continue questioning two suspects.

A 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl have were arrested on Tuesday, in connection with the murders of Rosalyn Hunt and Desmond Thorpe.

Ms Hunt, 41, was found dead in her flat in Victoria Street on Sunday, while Desmond Thorpe, 43, was found dead in Limerick Close, in the early hours of Monday morning.

Magistrates granted Suffolk Police an extra 26 hours to question the two suspects. The order is due to expire around 7:30pm tonight.

Police Can Hold Terror Suspects For Five More Days
Police have been granted five more days to question four men arrested on Tuesday in connection with an 'Islamist-related' terrorism investigation. The men, all aged 20 and 21, were arrested during a series of raids in London. Detectives have now been given until next Tuesday to continue questioning the men.

Police continue to hold suspects over failed car bombings
Police are continuing to question six suspects in the UK, held in connection with the failed car bombings in London and Glasgow. Meanwhile it has emerged that some of the suspects were known to MI5 before the attacks took place. However, according to reports, the known suspects were regarded as low priority.

Police were granted another week to question eight of the suspects and a further 24 hours to question the ninth suspect, who has been named as Umair Hussain, 24, from east London.

Police continue to question terror suspects
Police are continuing to question four terror suspects arrested in London as part of an investigation into alleged international terrorism. Three men - two aged 29 and one aged 21 - were arrested on Monday night in Hackney, east London, while the fourth man - who is aged 28 - was arrested on Tuesday in south-east London.
