Teen Discovered Dead In Car Stopped By Stinger Device

A teenage girl's body has been discovered in a car after police used a stinger device to end a chase.

A murder investigation was launched after the body of Chanelle Sasha Jones, 17, was found in a Ford Fiesta by police who stopped the car in a high-speed pursuit on Sunday.

Police tracked down the car in Ceredigion, west Wales, after they followed it on the A487.

The driver, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital.

It is not known whether Chanelle was killed in the crash or before the incident happened.

Chanelle's mother, Jayne, said: "My beautiful daughter Chanelle Sasha has been taken from us due to a cruel set of circumstances.

"She has been through so much in her short life and I was and we all are so proud of how she was turning her life around for the better and she now had so many ambitions."
