Peter Andre Wins Libel Damages

Singer Peter Andre has been awarded undisclosed libel damages following a newspaper's claim that he was unfaithful to his estranged wife, model Katie Price.

The story was published in the Sunday People in May, prior to the couple's split.

Speaking to reporters outside London's High Court, the 36-year-old singer said: "This story has led to a lot of speculation about whether I was faithful to my estranged wife, which even led her to mention it on a breakfast television show last week."

"I have never been unfaithful to my wife, not with this girl or with anyone else."

Mr Andre did not disclose the amount of the settlement.

The couple had been married for three-and-a-half years and have two children, Junior and Princess Tiaami, as well as Harvey, Katie's son with footballer Dwight Yorke.
