Court Date Over Dalglish Grenade Discovery
Two men are due in court today on charges relating to the discovery of a hand grenade found outside the home of Liverpool football legend Kenny Dalglish.
Simon Lewis Ignacio, 28, of no fixed address, and Carl Higgins, 29, of Huyton-with-Roby, will appear before South Sefton Magistrates charged with conspiracy to murder.
Bomb disposal experts removed the explosive from Dalglish's garden wall in Southport, Merseyside on Sunday night.
Nobody was injured in the incident and it is not known if anybody was at the Dalglish home at the time.
A police spokesman said the discovery was not connected to the ex-footballer, who recently returned to work at Anfield with a senior role at Liverpool's Academy.
