Man Killed And Son Injured In Drive-By Shooting

A 50-year-old man has been killed, and his son critically injured in a drive-by shooting.

Two men on a motorbike pulled up outside the Euro Wine & Food store in Hornsey Road, Holloway, north London, on Sunday morning and shot the two victims before they rode off, police have confirmed.

It has been reported one of the victims worked in the store.

The father was pronounced dead at the scene and his 21-year-old son was later taken to hospital.

There have been no arrests.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We retain an open mind regarding any motive at present."

A post mortem examination of the 50-year-old victim is due to take place later.

Police are appealing to witnesses to the attack to come forward.

The Ministry of Defence has named the British marine who was killed in Afghanistan on Wednesday. Corporal Stephen Paul Curley, 26, from 40 Commando Royal Marines, died in an explosion while he was conducting a ground domination foot patrol through the southern Green Zone.

Three-Year-Old Girl Survives Hertfordshire Shooting Incident
A three-year-old girl has survived a shooting in Hertfordshire that left three people, including a teenage boy, dead. Police were called to a house in Bishop's Stortford on Tuesday night around 9:40pm and found the victims - a 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 33 and 52. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
