William Reveals Childhood Ambition
A candid Prince William has told two young 'Newsround' reporters about his childhood ambition to be a policeman.
The second-in-line to the throne also told the pair how he could beat his younger brother, Prince Harry, in an arm wrestle.
BBC 'Press Packers' Alice and Oscar, both cancer patients, met William at Clarence House, for an interview broadcast on the children's news programme yesterday evening.
When asked what he wanted to be as a child, the prince said: "A long time ago I wanted to be a policeman, when I was younger,
"I soon learnt that probably wasn't a good idea."
William, patron of London's Royal Marsden Hospital, where pediatric cancer suffers are treated, also revealed he has a 'Harry Porter-style' scar on his head, following a golfing accident as a child.
"We were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head."
Ten-year-old Alice asked the prince about his training to become a full-time pilot with the Royal Air Force's Search and Rescue Force.
"It's going very well. My instructors would probably say, 'Not so well', but I think it's going not too badly," he said.
"I haven't managed to dent any of the aircraft, I haven't flown into any trees yet."
