Three Charged Over Policewoman Attack
A female police officer has suffered a serious eye injury and facial fractures after being allegedly 'glassed' in a Bristol pub.
Three people have been charged with assault after PC Hen Staveley-Brown suffered the injuries in an incident at Penpark Road, Southmead.
It is understood the 40-year-old could lose the sight in her left eye, and had to receive dozens of stitches in wounds on her forehead.
A number of other police officers where also hurt in the attack, which took place on Saturday 7 February.
Three people have been charged with assault of police officers and two others remain on police bail while investigations continue.

Three Charged Over 2012 Death Of Man In Police Custody
A police officer and two civilian police employees have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Thomas Orchard, who died a week after collapsing while in police custody. Mr Orchard (32) was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence on 03 October 2012 and taken to Heavitree Road Police Station in Exeter.
