Prince Harry Sent On Diversity Course, Following Gaffes
Prince Harry is being sent on an equality and diversity course after a series of race gaffes, it has emerged.
The Prince has been formally disciplined for calling his Sandhurst colleague Ahmed Raza Khan "our little Paki friend" in a video which leaked to the press, and referring to another officer cadet as a "raghead".
It also emerged recently both the Prince of Wales and the young Prince refer to an Indian polo friend as "Sooty".
The equality and diversity course is intended to teach him how offensive his remarks were, it was reported.
A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: "The Army has concluded its investigations into this case.
A spokesman for Clarence House refused to comment on the equality course, adding: "Prince Harry has said sorry for his remarks and has been subjected to normal Army disciplinary procedures.
"The matter is now closed."
The move comes just two days after Prince Harry was embroiled in another race row after telling a black comedian, he did not "sound like a black chap".
He is alleged to have made the comment to Stephen K Amos at a comedy show to celebrate Prince Charles' 60th birthday.
The comedian made the revelation on Five's The Wright Stuff on Tuesday.
He told presenter Matthew Wright that Prince Harry congratulated him on his performance, before adding: "You don't sound like a black chap."
"I wanted to say: How is I supposed to sound?" the comedian said.
Asked if the remark had been made in jest, he replied: "I hope it was." However, co-host Lowri Turner said: "That's not the point."
