Witness Appeal After Father Is Shot Dead In Bed
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to contact them after a man was shot dead in his bed.
Danny King, 51, also as known as Shep, was believed to be in bed with his wife at Medina Road, Ditton, when he was shot at around 3am on Friday. Two children were also in the house.
Kent Police have set up a mobile station on The Green, off Medina Road, to encourage anyone who saw anything suspicious on Thursday evening or the early hours of Friday to speak to officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Bumpus, from Kent Police, said: "Mr King's family are trying to come to terms with the loss of a loving husband and father and echo our appeal for witnesses to come forward.
"You may not think the information will be of any significance but please contact officers with the details so that we can to establish why someone would commit such a horrific crime and bring the offender (or offenders) to justice."
