Two Arrests Over 'Beckham Staff Theft'
Two people arrested over allegations they tried to sell property belonging to David and Victoria Beckham have denied the allegations.
The two former housekeepers - Eric Emmett, 55 and his wife June, 56, from Nazeing, Essex - were arrested on suspicion of theft from the Beckham's mansion in Hertfordshire. They have since been released on bail.
According to reports, suspicions were raised when memorabilia belonging to the couple - including designer clothes and footballers boots - appeared on the eBay auction site.
Mr Emmett said: "What is in the papers is fabricated nonsense. Totally fabricated, 99% of it is totally untrue."
Meanwhile an eBay spokeswoman confirmed they were co-operating with Hertfordshire Police.
"It was reported to police at 4.45pm on Friday 10 October," a Police spokesman confirmed. "A 56-year-old woman from Essex and a 55-year-old man also from Essex have been arrested in connection with this incident and are currently on police bail."
