Man's Body Discovered In Highlands Tent

The body of a man has been found in a tent in the Highlands, police have confirmed.

Around midday on Tuesday, Aviemore police station received a report that a tent, which had been spotted about a month ago by a local gamekeeper was still located at the south End of Loch Einich in the Cairngorms.

Police officers and members of the Cairngorm mountain rescue team attended the scene and recovered the body of a man from the tent.

Northern Constabulary confirmed that the remains had been taken to Inverness for a post mortem and said that enquiries would be made to trace next-of-kin and to identify the man.

Man Found Injured By Roadside Dies
A taxi driver, who was found with serious injuries at a roadside in Birmingham, has died. The man, aged in his 30s, was discovered in Wast Hill Lane, in Hopwood, at about 10.50pm on Wednesday. He died shortly after in hospital. A 100-metre stretch of the residential road is closed, while a forensic tent has been erected in the cordoned off zone.

A woman has died after being overcome by fumes in a tent with her family in a campsite in Wales. North Wales Police were called to a caravan site in Gym Goch, Caernarfon, around 9:30am on Monday to assist paramedics who were attending the scene.

Investigation Launched Into Hotel Body Find
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in a Hull hotel room. Police said they were called to the Ibis hotel on Osborne Street at 13:00 on Sunday, where they discovered the body of a woman. She is yet t be identified.

Inquest Hears Of Six-Year-Olds Tragic Tent Death
An inquest has heard how a 6-year-old died from inhalation of carbon monoxide fumes from a barbecue her parents had brought into their tent to keep her warm. Paramedics were called to Holmsley campsite at Bransgore in the New Forest, Hampshire, early on 6 April when Isabelle Harris’s parents found her "unresponsive".
