Two Charged With Smith Stabbing
Police in east London have charged two teenagers with the fatal stabbing of schoolboy Shaquille Smith.
The 14-year-old was stabbed to death in Hackney last weekend, after becoming involved in a fight with a gang of youths.
The boy’s teenage sister sustained face and neck wounds during the incident, although her injuries were not serious.
Detectives today said the pair, Godiowe Dufeal, 19, and a 16-year-old male, who cannot be named because of his age, have been charged with murdering Smith.
They are expected to appear before Thames Magistrates Court later.
Police also said two other men, aged 18 and 21, have also been arrested in connection with the attack.
It is believed they are being held at an east London police station.
Smith was the 25th teenager to die violently in London so far this year.
