Man's Shock Death 'Urinating' On Railway Tracks

A man has been killed at a busy railway station - while urinating on the tracks.

British Transport Police confirmed that the 41-year-old was electrocuted at Vauxhall station in south London at around 5.20pm on July 12.

Police say he walked on to the track from Platform 1.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said a fast response unit and two ambulances were sent to the station but the man died at the scene.

It is reported that the man was a married teacher, of Polish origin, who was believed to be visiting the UK to improve his English.

It is thought that the man has gone to find somewhere discreet to go to the toilet and his urine splashed on to the live rail.

According to figures released by Network Rail, more than 560 people are killed on railways every year.
