Drug Dealers Jailed For 27 Years

Two drug dealers have been sentenced to a total of 27 years in prison after storing £4.35 million worth of heroin in their cars.

Mylton Demetriou and Sean Foster were arrested after police saw Demetriou transfer a grey holdall from the boot of his VW Golf, into the boot of Foster's BMW, in Frant Road, Croydon.

Officers apprehended the men after stopping both cars after they drove off from the scene. Foster's car boot revealed 54 kilos of heroin stockpiled inside two holdalls.

Both men were charged for supplying Class A Drugs.

The Met's Project Team also found £48,000 in cash inside a fitted wardrobe after they searched Foster's home address.

Demetriou, 31, a promoter, of Frankfurt Road, was found guilty on 26 June of conspiring to supply class A drugs and was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment at Croyden Crown Court.

Foster, 29, a football coach, of Thakenham Close, pleaded guilty on 3 March to the same offence, and was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.

Detective Inspector Paul Johnson said: "This was a significant intervention into a large class A drugs deal and these convictions are the result of some great proactive detective work by my team.

"The Specialist Crime Directorate's Projects Team continue in their efforts to successfully dismantle and disrupt these networks, stemming the flow of these damaging drugs onto the streets of London."
