Man Arrested Over Woman's Death
A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman's body in a property in Tameside, Greater Manchester.
The woman's body was found at an address on Windermere Road, Hyde shortly after 6pm on Monday, after police went to investigate reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Greater Manchester Police said that the victim is believed to be 19 years old.
Inquiries into the cause of death and the circumstances surrounding it are now underway and a post mortem is due to take place later today.
A man was arrested in the early hours of this morning in north Wales, on suspicion of murder. He is currently being questioned by police.
Superintendent Catherine McKay, based at Ashton-under-Lyne police station, said: "At this stage, we are treating this as an isolated incident in which a young woman has been tragically killed.
"We have already made one arrest and inquiries by officers will continue over the next few days to establish exactly what happened."

Greater Manchester Police have arrested a man on suspicion of the murder of ten-year-old Lauren Pilkington-Smith. The 18-year-old was arrested on Wednesday morning and is being questioned by police. Lauren disappeared on July 7. She had last been seen around 8:20pm, playing with two boys in Sanderson Street, in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

Two arrested in Greater Manchester anti-terror raids
Two people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act during a series of raids in Greater Manchester. Around 250 officers were involved in the operation, which began at 7am on Tuesday morning, although only 50 officers are believed to have been directly involved in the raids.
