Missing Boy 'Safely Back Home'
A young teenage boy who had been missing for over a month has been found, according to reports.
Daniel Whitehead, 13, was last seen at his home in Walsingham Avenue, Middleton, on May 21.
Daniel was known to have friends and family in Burnley and police had appealed for him to return home.
The Burnley Express newspaper has reported that he was found at 5pm yesterday and is now "safely back home".
Police say there had been a number of reported sightings of Daniel since he went missing.
The last confirmed sighting of him was on 4 June, when he was seen on Shaw Road, Oldham.
Pc Cathy Watts of Oldham Police said that it was believed that Daniel was staying with friends. Pc Watts at the time of his disappearance had appealed for Daniel to contact them to let them know he was safe.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have not yet released a statement.

The British bomb disposal expert killed in Afghanistan by a roadside bomb on Monday has been named as Captain Daniel Shepherd. Capt Shepherd was serving with the Joint Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group when he died following an explosion in Nad-e-Ali district in Helmand Province, Southern Afghanistan.

Entertainer Danny La Rue has died at his home in Kent, following a short illness, his spokesperson has confirmed. The 81-year-old - best known for his legendary female impersonation act - died after suffering from cancer. Thirteen-year-old Daniel Pena-Sanchez has been found "safe and well", police have reported. The Catford teenager was reported missing on Tuesday, 11 August. Police said that Daniel was found after a member of the public recognised him from their social media campaign. The Metropolitan Police thanked the public for their help.

The parents of a seven-year-old boy who has been missing since last Saturday have appealed at their son's school for help in tracing him. David and Paula Entwhistle made the appeal after their son, Daniel, disappeared after going to a shop near his home on Copperfield Avenue, Great Yarmouth, in Norfolk, last Saturday afternoon.
