More Bone Fragments Found At Children's Home In Jersey
Detectives in Jersey investigating allegations of child abuse at a former children's home have discovered more bone fragments and another child's tooth.
The remains were unearthed in one of the underground cellars at Haut de la Garenne by experts over the weekend.
The latest development brings the number of milk teeth found to eight along with more than 30 bone fragments.
Last week police said they had found teeth and charred human bone pieces, possibly cremated in a nearby fireplace, which indicates homicide.
A Jersey Police statement said: "We have continually stated that we had no evidence of murder or homicide but that in the circumstances we would have to treat the scene as a potential homicide scene."
Over 160 people claim they were abused at the Jersey children's home which closed its doors in 1983.
