'Take That And Party' At London's West End

'Never Forget' – the Take That musical, has opened in London's West End.

The fictionalised tribute to the famous five's music, opened at the Savoy Theatre earlier this month with TV personalities Denise van Outen, her sidekick Johnny Vaughan, Paul O'Grady and Gaby Roslin attended the opening.

Never Forget is written by Bafta winner Danny Brocklehurst, best known for writing raucous Mancunian drama 'Shameless'

The musical is based on the exploits of a Take That tribute band.

Take That's vocalist, Gary Barlow told the BBC that when he first heard about it, he thought it "sounded horrible".

"The reports I've seen have been really good so there must be something good in it. I'm just worried that they're better than us," he said.

The show includes much-loved tracks such as 'Relight My Fire', 'Back For Good' and 'Babe'.

Guardian Unlimited say that the musical is "Take That's own Mamma Mia".

The cast includes Eaton James, Stephane Anelli and Dean Chisnall.

Barlow added that the group, which has now attained almost cult status, will not be joining the audience. Tickets for the extravaganza start at £25.

Meanwhile, Take That are beginning work on a new album, the follow up to 'Beautiful World'. It is expected to be released at Christmas.

Take That have sold more than 30 million records between 1991 and 1996 and have been dubbed "the most successful British band since the Beatles".

Former bandmate Robbie Williams is currently living in Los Angeles.
