Royal 'Rush' Investigated By Police
Claims are being investigated into a Royal convoy speeding to get Prince Harry to a nightclub.
It is alleged that Royal protection officers "put lives at risk" by "driving recklessly at 100mph".
Company Director Tim Williams, 33, claimed he was "tailgated" by a royal convoy and was forced to speed to get 'out of the way' at 70 mph.
Mr Williams told the Mail on Sunday that the convoy including a Range Rover and Audi R8 "put lives at risk" by driving at "a hell of a speed".
He had been driving towards London on the M4 last Saturday with his wife, sister-in-law and eight-month-old baby.
"I accelerated because the Range Rover was so close, ridiculously close. I thought perhaps the Range Rover was racing with the Audi. It really did scare us. It was intimidating," he said.
It is further alleged that Prince Harry put on sunglasses and shielded his face when Mr Williams caught up with both cars in traffic in west London.
A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that a complaint was received by Thames Valley Police on Wednesday May 14. The complainant was advised to contact the Metropolitan Police."
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they "were not prepared to discuss matters of security or protection".
Thames Valley Police are continuing to liaise with the Met in relation to the incident.
