Man Charged Over Fife Double Murder
A man has been charged with the murder of a woman and her young brother.
Michelle Thomson, 25, and seven-year-old Ryan were found dead in Fife at the weekend.
It is reported that the bodies were found by their mother, who is the estranged wife of the accused, at Muiredge Cottages in Buckhaven on Saturday evening.
A spokesman for Fife Police confirmed that a 49-year-old man had been charged with the murder of sister and brother Michelle and Ryan.
Leading the investigation, Detective Superintendent Alistair McKeen said that both Michelle and Ryan "suffered a particularly violent death" and "the scene was particularly harrowing for police officers and paramedics who arrived at the house".
Mr McKeen said that the family appreciated the tributes left by neighbours.
The 49-year-old will appear before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today.

Babysitters Jailed Over Toddler's Murder
A couple who inflicted multiple injuries on a toddler they were babysitting have been jailed for life for his murder. Christopher Taylor, 25, and Kayley Boleyn, 19, were jailed for a minimum of 15 years and 13 years, respectively, for murder and child cruelty in the case of three-year-old Ryan Lovell-Hancox.

Shop Shooting Victim Named As Police Question Teenager
Police have been given more time to question a teenager over the murder of a youth who was shot dead in a London supermarket. Ryan Bravo, 18, was shot at the Costcutter store on Camberwell Road, Walworth, on Wednesday. He died of a single gunshot wound to the back. Police believe the teenager was an innocent bystander, caught in the line of fire.

Christopher Hawkins, 47, from Slaithwaite in Huddersfield was found guilty of murdering his son Ryan, four, and attempting to kill his 14-year-old daughter Donna, who was stabbed more than 13 times, but survived.
