Mojo Awards Announce Honours List
This years Mojo Honours list has been announced and voting has commenced.
Welsh soul singer Duffy is shortlisted for Best Album and Best Breakthrough Act. Her upbeat anthem 'Mercy' is up for Song Of The Year.
Mojo Honours List veterans Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have scored two nominations.
The Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner has been recognised in four categories, with Best Album and Best Live Act. The indie rocker's side project The Last Shadow Puppets has received nominations for Best Song and Best Breakthrough Act.
The list is organised by Mojo monthly music magazine and the awards will be held at a ceremony in London on 16 June.
Phil Alexander, Editor-in-Chief said that "there is a sense of authenticity and integrity that runs through all of these artists and Mojo is proud to celebrate their achievements".
Other contenders vying for the Best Live Act are Neil Young, Rufus Wainwright and Led Zeppelin.
Art rock band Radiohead received a nod for their album 'In Rainbows' while Robert Plant and Alison Krauss received recognition for 'Raising Sand'.
Other honours to be handed out include induction to the Hall of Fame and the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.
Music fans can vote on the Mojo website for their favourite artists.

Mirren leads the winners at the Golden Globes
Dame Helen Mirren won two awards at the Golden Globe on a night where British talent triumphed. Dame Helen collected the award for Best Actress in a TV movie or mini-series for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in 'Elizabeth I' as well as Best Actress in a drama for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in Stephen Frears' drama 'The Queen'.

Cold shoulder for ‘Cold Mountain’ in Oscar nominations
One of the front-runners in this year’s Academy Award race has been dramatically snubbed in the nominations list. ‘Cold Mountain’, the lavish American Civil War epic, directed by Anthony Minghella, only picked up two major nominations – ‘Best Actor’ for Jude Law and ‘Best Supporting Actress’ nomination for Renee Zellweger.

Hairspray Scoops Four Olivier Awards
West End musical 'Hairspray' has won four awards at this year's Laurence Olivier Awards. The stage musical was named best new musical, while newcomer Leanne Jones won the award for best actress in a musical for her role as Tracy Turnblad.

Irish Eyes Smile At Oscars
Irish luck prevailed at the 80th Academy Awards with Wicklow-based Daniel Day Lewis scooping the best actor award and Frames lead singer Glen Hansard sharing the best original song. Dark comedy ‘No Country For Old Men’ was a big winner with director brothers Joel and Ethan Coen picking up best picture, director and adapted screenplay.
