Bath Murder Enquiry Launched
Police have launched a murder enquiry into the death of a 22-year-old man in Bath.
The man was found in Ringswell Gardens on Sunday around 6.15pm with serious injuries.
Officers have cordoned off the area to carry out a forensic examination of the crime scene.
Three women and two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
Superintendent Geoff Spicer said: "A team of officers are working on this investigation to piece together exactly what happened and why a 22-year-old man lost his life.
"At this stage the motive seems unclear, however we are exploring the possibility that the victim may have known who attacked him.
"We would like to hear from anyone who may have information to assist the inquiry.
"We are particularly keen to speak to anybody who may have seen a small red hatchback in the area yesterday either before or after 6.15pm."
Police say a post mortem is expected to take place today to establish the cause of death.
Anyone with information is asked to call: 08454567000.
