House Fire Claims Two Lives

A house fire has claimed two lives at a home in Long Aston, near Bristol.

A man and a six-year-old boy died at the semi-detached property in Weston Road at approximately 6.30am this morning.

The man was found dead on arrival of emergency services. The youngster was found in a room upstairs but died from his injuries after being taken to hospital.

Parts of Weston Road and Providence Lane are shut while an investigation into the incident takes place.

At this time, the cause of the blaze in unknown.

Yesterday a house fire claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman in Leicester, five others were injured.

Freckleton House Fire Claims Four
Initial investigations into a house fire, which claimed the lives of four siblings, indicate that the house did not have working smoke alarms. Reece, Ella and Holly and Jordan Smith were found in two attic bedrooms of the dormer bungalow in Lytham Road, Freckleton, Lancashire on Saturday.

Footballer Released On Bail Over Underage Sex Claims
England and Sunderland footballer, Adam Johnson, has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of having sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl. The footballer, 27, was questioned by Durham Police on Monday. Sunderland AFC have suspended the player pending the outcome of the investigation.
