TV Presenter's Family Due To Identify Body

The family of Mark Speight are due to formally identify a body found in Paddington Railway station on Sunday, which is believed to be that of the missing TV presenter.

Speight, 42, was last seen on April 7 and was reported missing on the same day.

He was reportedly devastated following the death of his fiancée Natasha Collins in January and friends had described him as "vulnerable".

Miss Collins, 31, was found dead in the flat she shared with Speight in St John's Wood, north-west London, on January 3. Earlier this month, an inquest recorded a verdict of death by misadventure after hearing how she had taken cocaine, sleeping tablets and alcohol.

Miss Collins, who was found in the bath, had also suffered 60% burns from the boiling water.

Speight was arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying Class A drugs following Miss Collins's death, but he was not charged with any offences.

It has been confirmed that a man's body was found handing on the roof of a building next to Paddington Station around 10am on Sunday.

It is understood that the body was found in a "remote area" which could not be seen by the public.

A post-mortem is due to be held today, following the formal identification.
