Fans Go 'Swooney' For Clooney

Hollywood hunk George Clooney attended the premiere of his new movie 'Leatherheads' and was greeted with hoards of screaming fans in Leicester Square, London.

Clooney attended the opening of the romantic comedy with co-star Renee Zellweger.

Leatherheads is set in the world of 1920s American football, Clooney plays the role of a charming, brash American football hero while Zellweger plays a fiery newswoman. Drama ensues as the two get caught in a love triangle.

Clooney delighted the crowds by spending time on the red carpet to sign autographs for swooning female fans.

The star revealed that he took quiet a few blows in the name of art for the movie. He said: "If you get hit, it hurts. I go over to the monitor. As a director. I know I've got to do it again."

Zellweger told Sky: "George is a little talented, so it was not a bad day at the office."

The film is reported to be performing poorly in the US and is lagging behind Las Vegas based heist flick '21' and family adventure 'Nim's Island'.
