Woman, 87, Raped In Great Yarmouth
Police in Great Yarmouth are appealing for information after an 87-year-old woman was raped in her own home.
The incident is believed to have happened between 3pm and 8:45pm on Easter Monday at the woman's home in the area between Victoria Road and St Peter's Road.
The victim is now being cared for by her family, with the additional support of social services.
Police that they are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry.
The offender is described as a white male, aged between 30 and 40-years-old, with an untidy appearance. He is also believed to have been possibly wearing a hat.
Detective Inspector Stuart Armes from Great Yarmouth CID said: "We are at the early stages of the investigation and in the process of establishing exactly what happened.
"The victim, who is vulnerable, has suffered a traumatic experience and is being questioned by specially trained officers.
"Offences such as this are extremely rare and we are working with colleagues to help reassure the local community.
"I would ask anyone living or working in the area who saw anyone acting suspiciously and who meets this description to contact police as soon as possible."

Parents of missing boy appeal for help
The parents of a seven-year-old boy who has been missing since last Saturday have appealed at their son's school for help in tracing him. David and Paula Entwhistle made the appeal after their son, Daniel, disappeared after going to a shop near his home on Copperfield Avenue, Great Yarmouth, in Norfolk, last Saturday afternoon.

Teenage Mum Arrested Over Baby's Death
An 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder, following the death of her 11-month-old daughter in Norfolk. The baby reportedly suffered breathing difficulties at an address in Great Yarmouth on Sunday and an ambulance was called. She was taken to hospital, where she later died.

Sex Assault Charge For Norfolk Doctor
A doctor at a Norfolk hospital has been charged with sexually assaulting a minor. It is understood that Rashid Sandhu, 29, who worked at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston, has been charged with sexually assaulting a female aged 13 and over. Mr Sandhu has also been accused of 17 charges of making indecent photographs of children.

Body Found In Search For Missing Woman
A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.
