Queen 'Will Rock You' With New Album

Rock band Queen are to release their first album in 13 years.

It will be the first time the band has produced an album without the vocals of former front man Freddie Mercury.

'Cosmos Rocks' will feature singer Paul Rodgers who joined the band on stage in 2005.

Queen's last album, 'Made in Heaven' was released in 1995 and featured written and recorded material by Mercury, who died in 1991 from pneumonia brought on by AIDS.

A spokesman said guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and Rodgers had already recorded the album, which is due for release on September 1.

The band have also announced a new four-month tour with Rodgers as front man, beginning in September, playing 14 countries in less than two months.

Even without Mercury as front man, estimates of the bands worldwide record sales have been placed as high as 300 million.
