It is understood that the 33-year-old gave birth to a baby boy, who will be called Issac.

Cox, who is affectionately known as 'Coxy', has a three-year-old daughter called Lola Rose, with her former husband DJ Jon Carter, from whom she split in December 2005. Her current partner is advertising executive Ben Cyzer.

Cox shot to fame as a presenter on Channel 4's 'The Girlie Show' back in 1994 and joined Radio 1 in 1999, where she originally co-hosted the Saturday lunchtime show with Emma B. She hosted the station's weekday breakfast show from 2000 - 2003 and was presenting the weekend afternoon show before she left on maternity leave. She is due to return to the airwaves in September.
