Man Arrested Over Manchester Murder
Police investigating the murder of a 25-year-old man in Manchester last week have arrested a 70-year-old man.
Craig Douglas was walking along Canal Street in the city last Monday evening with another man, when they were involved in an argument with two other men.
Mr Douglas was then stabbed in the neck with a small knife. He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary, where he later died.
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder in the Harpurhey area on Sunday. He is currently being questioned by police.
Another man, aged 66, was also arrested on suspicion of murder last week. He has been released on bail until March 24, pending further inquiries.
A 49-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident was released without charge.
The stabbing took place in Manchester's well-known Gay Village area, but police said that they are not treating the attack as a homophobic incident.

Man Arrested Over Nightclub Car Crash
A 26-year-old man has been arrested after a stolen car was deliberately driven into a group of people outside a nightclub. The Saab car mounted the pavement on Packer Street, outside the Dali Bar, injuring a total of fourteen people. Three people remain in hospital. The incident took place at 2.10am on Sunday in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Man Arrested Over Woman's Death
A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman's body in a property in Tameside, Greater Manchester. The woman's body was found at an address on Windermere Road, Hyde shortly after 6pm on Monday, after police went to investigate reports that a woman had been assaulted.

Man arrested over Lauren murder
Greater Manchester Police have arrested a man on suspicion of the murder of ten-year-old Lauren Pilkington-Smith. The 18-year-old was arrested on Wednesday morning and is being questioned by police. Lauren disappeared on July 7. She had last been seen around 8:20pm, playing with two boys in Sanderson Street, in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.
