Friends And Family Support Gascoigne
Paul Gascoigne has been sectioned and detained under the Mental Health Act after an incident at the Malmaison Hotel in Newcastle.
The hotel said the star had made other guests and staff feel "threatened".
A host of stars, past and present, urged everyone from the game to offer their support.
Former Manchester United defender Steve Bruce, said: "I know Paul quite well. I have had many a night out with him.
"He has come through before but he will need the support of everyone around him and let's hope he is OK."
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate, a former England team-mate of Gascoigne's, said: "He would do anything for anybody and, hopefully, people will do the same for him now because he obviously needs that help."

Former England international football star Paul Gascoigne has been arrested and sectioned under the Mental Health Act. The 40-year-old midfielder - widely known as 'Gazza' - who won 57 caps for England and scored 10 goals in his international career, was detained at the Malmaison Hotel in Gateshead, Newcastle on Wednesday evening.
