British Punters Bet On A White Christmas
More than £1 million is expected to be gambled on the prospect of a white Christmas, bookmakers are predicting.
However, weather forecasters are warning that those making a bet could be wasting their money.
Forecasters from MeteoGroupUK, the Met Office and Sky News have all said that a white Christmas is extremely unlikely this year, with predictions suggesting that Christmas is likely to be wet, windy and milder than it has been recently, instead.
However, gamblers are still refusing to heed the predictions, with punters in London being especially keen to place bets on a white Christmas.
