Man Arrested Over Chip Shop Murders
Police investigating the murders of two men in a flat above a fish and chip shop in Shawbury, North Shropshire, have arrested a man.
Sukhdav Singh, who is in his 20s, is believed to have shared the flat with the two men who were found dead.
He was arrested in Smethwick in the West Midlands and has been taken to Telford police station for questioning.
The two men were found dead last Friday in the flat above Mike's Fish Bar in Dayton Road.
A post-mortem confirmed that they both died from head injuries. It is understood that police have established the names of the victims, believed to be in their 20s and originally from the Punjab, but they have yet to be formally identified.

Tragic Manchester Kids Named

Man Admits Double Killings
The Crown court is to pursue charges of murder against a 28-year-old man held over the deaths of two sisters. Mohammed Ali has already admitted the manslaughter of 22-year-old Yasmine Larbi-Cherif and her 20-year-old sister Sabrina, who were found stabbed in their Birmingham flat last year.

Police are searching for two men who held a 25-year-old student hostage for nine hours while his house was robbed. The incident is said to have taken place in February when the student, who has not been named, met up with a woman he had been chatting to online.

Grading Proposed For Speeding Drivers
A system of grading for those caught speeding on the UK's roads has been proposed. Drivers caught speeding could be given more penalty points on their licence depending on how much over the speed limit they are. Ministers are looking at a scheme under which the worst offenders would get six points on their driving licence.
