Post-Mortem To Be Carried Out On Katy French
A post-mortem is due to be carried out on the body of model Katy French who died on Thursday after spending almost five days in a coma in hospital.
Ms French, 24, was taken to hospital after collapsing at a friend's house in Ashbourne in the early hours of Sunday morning.
She died around 5pm on Thursday in Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, with her parents and sister Jill at her bedside.
Earlier this week, the Health Service Executive confirmed that the model was seriously ill, but did not comment on the nature of her illness.
On Thursday, gardaí announced that an investigation had been launched into the circumstances surrounding Ms French's collapse.
It is understood that the results of the post-mortem will determine the nature of the investigation into her death.

At an update meeting on the case of the deaths of three Britons and a cyclist in the French Alps, police have said their main line of enquiry remains a dispute over family inheritance. Saad al-Hilli was shot dead along with his wife, Iqbal, her mother Suhaila al-Allaf and French cyclist Sylvain Mollier on 05 September 2012.

Single Gun Used In French Alps Murders
In the ongoing investigation into the killing of four members of a British family while on holiday in the French Alps, and a local cyclist, French police have said just one gun was used. Officials told reporters in Annecy that ballistics tests found 25 spent cartridges left at the scene, which came from a 7.65mm calibre semi-automatic pistol.
