First Jaguar XF Rolls Off Production Line

The first of the Jaguar's new sports saloon, the XF, have been rolling off the production line at the company's plant in Castle Bromwich, near Birmingham.

Prices for the new model, which replaces the S-Type, starts at £32,925 for the 3.0 litre model and £53,925 for the 4.2 litre SV8,

It is understood that more than 2,000 advance orders have been received for the new model, which is due to go on sale next March.

US car manufacturer Ford, which owns Jaguar, are currently trying to sell Jaguar Land Rover and the company has revealed that there are three main bidders for the company - Indian companies Tata Motors and Mahindra Mahindra.

Jaguar Confirms Plant Closure

UK Teen Sells App For 'Dozens Of Millions'
A UK teenager has sold an app he created to Yahoo for an undisclosed sum, thought to be “dozens of millions”. 17-year-old Nick D’Aloisio created the app Summly, which summarizes news stories from popular media companies. He launched the app when he was just 15 and soon attracted more than £1m of investment.

Teens Leave School Without Sat Results
Thousands of children will be finishing school today without their Standard Assessment Test (Sat) test results. The American company, Educational Testing Services (ETS), responsible for the marking of the tests, has been accused of serial incompetence. There are reports of schools being sent back unmarked papers, some of which remain unopened.

Jaguar cuts car production by 11%
Jaguar is to cut production of cars at its three UK manufacturing plants by 11% for the remainder of this year. However, the T&G, the largest trade union at Jaguar, says that the company, which employs 8,000 people in the UK, has assured the union that there will be no job losses as a result of the production cuts announced on Friday.
