Fourth Arrest In Meredith Murder

Police investigating the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in Italy have arrested a fourth person, Rudy Hermann Guede.

Mr Guede, 21, who is originally from the Ivory Coast, was detained in Germany and is expected to be extradited to Italy within the next few days.

Meredith Kercher, 21, from Coulsdon in London, was found with her throat cut in an apartment in Perugia on November 2

It is believed that Miss Kercher, who was on a student exchange programme, was sexually assaulted and murdered after refusing to participate in an extreme sex game.

Three other people have been arrested in connection with Meredith's murder. They are her American roommate Amanda Knox, 20, Ms Knox's Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 23, and Congolese bar owner Diya 'Patrick' Lumumba, 38.
