Margate Body Search Winds Down
The search for bodies at a house in Margate, Kent, where the remains of two missing teenage girls were found last week is winding down.
The body of 15-year-old Vicky Hamilton was found at the house last Monday and a body which is believed to be that of 18-year-old Dinah McNicol was found there last Friday.
Essex Police Detective Superintendent Tim Wills said that no more bodies were expected to be found at the property. He said: "We are looking for evidence now rather than people. That could be just a very small thing."
Formal identification of the body, which is believed to be that of Dinah McNicol, has also still to take place.
Both Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol vanished in 1991 - Vicky, from Redding, near Falkirk, was last seen waiting for a bus in Bathgate in February, while Dinah, from Tillingham in Essex, disappeared after attending a music festival in Liphook in Hampshire in August.
Peter Tobin, 61, who used to live in the house where the bodies were found, has been charged with Vicky Hamilton's murder. He appeared before Linlithgow Sheriff Court last Thursday.
Police are examining a number of other unsolved cases following the discovery of the bodies in the Margate house.

Second Body At Margate House Of Death
A second body has been discovered at the house in Margate, Kent, where the remains of Scottish teenager Vicky Hamilton were found earlier this week. Police described the find as a "significant development". Police had originally been searching the house for missing 18-year-old Dinah McNicol, who disappeared in 1991.

Body Found Following House Fire
An investigation has launched into a fatal house fire in Bottesford in Leicestershire. Emergency services were called out to reports of a house fire in Grantham Road at about 13.50 on Sunday. Firefighters subsequently found a body inside the building.

British troops fighting in the frontline are to receive new body armour and helmets this autumn, it has been announced. Over 10,000 sets of the enhanced Mark 7 helmet and the Osprey Assault body armour have been ordered from companies across the UK, under initial contracts worth around £16 million.

Funeral To Be Held For Vicky Hamilton
The funeral of murdered Scottish schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton is due to take place later today. The remains of the 15-year-old from Redding near Falkirk, who disappeared in 1991, were found earlier this month at a house in Margate in Kent. The body of another missing girl, 18-year-old Dinah McNicol, was also found in the same house.
