Most Wanted Sex Offenders' Photos Digitally Aged
Photos of some of the most wanted sex offenders in Britain have been digitally aged to help members of the public recognise how they might look now.
Photos of Joshua Karney and Peter Weatherley have been enhanced to mark the first anniversary of the Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre's web site, which is aimed at tracing missing sex offenders.
Nine of the 13 people originally posted on the site have now been located. Those still at large will have their photos altered to allow for the effects of ageing.
A fourteenth offender, Stephen Clare, has been added to the web site and his photo has also been digitally altered.
The 35-year-old photographer is wanted by Northumbria Police, who have said that he had taken qualifications to teach English as a foreign language and may have travelled abroad.
More than 72 million people worldwide have viewed CEOP's 'most wanted' web site since it was launched last November.
The web site can be viewed at: www.ceop.gov.uk/wanted.
