Man Jailed For Life For Lesley Molseed Murder
A 54-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder of schoolgirl Lesley Molseed in 1975.
Comic book dealer Ronald Castree, of Brandon Crescent, Oldham was found guilty of the 11-year-old's murder. He had denied the charge.
He was jailed for life at Bradford Crown Court and told that he would have to serve a minimum of 30 years years in prison.
Lesley, who was from Rochdale, disappeared while on an errand for her mother in October 1975.
Her body was later discovered on moors in West Yorkshire. She had been stabbed and sexually assaulted in what was described to the jury as a "frenzied attack".
Stefan Kiszko was jailed for 16 years after being wrongly convicted of the schoolgirl's murder in 1976. He was released in 1992 and died two days before Christmas in 1993.
Castree was arrested after his DNA was matched to semen found on Lesley's clothing.
