London Teen Shot Dead

Police are urgently investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man killed last night as he sat in a car in southeast London.

The victim was in a silver Ford Fiesta in Long Walk in Plumstead around 11pm on Sunday, with another 18-year-old when two gunmen opened fire on the vehicle.

The other occupant of the vehicle was also injured in the shooting, but the injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Operation Trident, the Metropolitan Police’s unit that investigates gun crime in London’s black community, is already investigating the incident.

Man Arrested After Five-Year-Old Is Injured In Shooting Incident
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a five-year-old boy. The child was shot and seriously injured at his home in Essex. The boy has been taken to the Royal London Hospital at around 13.20 on Sunday. His injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.

Policewoman shot dead on daughter's birthday
The policewoman shot dead on Friday in Bradford was gunned down on her four-year-old daughter's birthday. Pc Sharon Beshenivsky, 38, was shot in the chest as she answered a call to a travel agents shop in Bradford. Her colleague PC Teresa Milburn, 37, was wounded in the shoulder.

Four Arrested Over Fatal Nightclub Stabbing
Police investigating the suspected murder of a teenager at a Coventry nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning have arrested four men. Police reported that an 18-year-old was found dead outside Society Club in Tower Street at around 2am on Sunday (15 March).

Man Jailed For Attempted Murder Of Pc
A south London man has been jailed for 25 years for tying to shoot a policeman. Michael Mitchell, 32, of Babington Road, Streatham, was convicted of attempting to murder Pc Shaun Callow, possession of a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
