Two Charged Over Teenager's Pond Death

Two men have been charged with manslaughter of a 16-year-old boy who downed in a water-filled clay pit in the West Midlands.

The body of Shane Owoo was recovered from the pond in Bliston by police divers on Sunday.

The two men, aged 20 and 22, will appear before Wolverhampton magistrates on Wednesday morning.

Police are still seeking witnesses to an earlier incident, believed to have taken place on Sunday September 16, in which another boy might have been forced to get into the pool.

It is believed an earlier incident might have been posted on YouTube, although the footage has since been removed from the site.

Detectives said they were also looking for a 21-year-old man in connection with Shane's death.

A text message service for local youngsters who may have information about either incident can be contacted on 07968 572915.
