Two Detained Over Boy's Pond Death

Police in West Midlands have arrested two men in connection with the death of a 16-year-old boy found dead in a pond.

Shane Awoo's body was recovered by divers from a pool in the Bickley Road area in Bilston, on Sunday.

The two men arrested, aged 20 and 22, are being held for questioning by West Midlands police. Three more men, who were arrested earlier, have been released on police bail.

Police are appealing for information on the incident over reports that the boy was thrown into the water.

It is understood that a post-mortem examination will take place later today.

Security Alert Issued After Threats To Kill West Midlands Police Officer
A threat to kidnap and kill a serving West Midlands Police officer has led to a security alert being issued, reports have revealed. "It was anonymous, but credible information," said West Midlands Police Assistant Chief Constable Garry Forsyth.

Stewards shot at Kanye West concert
Two stewards have been shot during a concert by US rapper Kaye West at the NEC Arena in Solihull. West Midlands Police said that they were called to the venue around 10pm last night following the shooting of two male security guards at the front entrance to the arena.
