Teenage Mum Arrested Over Baby's Death

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder, following the death of her 11-month-old daughter in Norfolk.

The baby reportedly suffered breathing difficulties at an address in Great Yarmouth on Sunday and an ambulance was called.

She was taken to hospital, where she later died. A post-mortem examination revealed that she died from head injuries.

The 18-year-old mother was arrested on Thursday. A 16-year-old boy, reported to be her boyfriend, was also arrested in connection with the baby's death.

Second woman arrested in baby fire death case
Police have confirmed that a second woman has been arrested, following the death of a baby in a house fire in Newcastle at the weekend. Northumbria police confirmed that a 21-year-old Newcastle woman had been arrested on Wednesday morning on suspicion of the murder of four-month-old Alexander Gallon on Sunday night.

Baby Dies After Being Bitten By Family Pet
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby bitten by dog in Sunderland. The three-week-old baby boy died in hospital following an incident at his home in Falkland Road. Police were called to the address at 04:15 on Saturday, 20 June. It is understood that the baby had been bitten by the families pet dog.
