More Time To Question Men Over Biker Murder
Police investigating the murder of biker Gerry Tobin have been granted extra time to continue questioning four men.
Mr Tobin, 35, of south London was shot dead as he travelled home on the M40 from the Bulldog Bash bikers' festival at Long Marston near Stratford, Warwickshire on August 12.
Three men were arrested in connection with murder during early morning raids on properties in Coventry and Nuneaton on Wednesday.
A fourth man was arrested in the Alderman's Green area of Coventry on Wednesday evening.
A number of bladed weapons and a firearm were uncovered during the raids.
Two vehicles - a van and a Rover car - were also recovered from the addresses. A second Rover car, which had been damaged by fire, was also recovered prior to the raids and is also being examined. However, no further information about when or where this vehicle was found has been released.
Police believe that the shots fired at Mr Tobin came from a dark green Rover 620 car, which was seen passing him at the time of the shooting.
Police have asked anyone who saw a car matching that description on the afternoon of the attack to contact them on 01926 415881.
