Second Man Arrested Over Darwen Murder
Police investigating the murder of a man in Darwen in Lancashire have arrested a second man.
Steven Taylor, 29, was stabbed at his home in Primrose Terrace in Darwen on Saturday He was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital but later died.
Rodney Elliott Kay, 37, of Rose Street in Darwen has been charged with Mr Taylor's murder and appeared before Blackburn Magistrates' Court on Monday.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on overnight on suspicion of murder and is currently being questioned by detectives.
Lancashire Police have named another man that they wish to question in connection with the murder. Craig Anthony Cosgrove, 33, is described as white, 6ft tall, of heavy build and with dark brown hair. He has a Scottish accent and numerous tattoos on both arms.
Detective Superintendent Mick Gradwell said: "I am appealing to people for information about the whereabouts of Craig Cosgrove. I wish to speak to Mr Cosgrove in connection with the death of Steven Taylor. We understand that he could be in the following areas as he has known friends and associates there: Blackpool, Manchester, Cumbria and Scotland.
"If anyone has information about Mr Cosgrove's location, he should not be approached, they can contact police on: 01254 51212 or Crimestoppers on: 0800 555 111."

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.

Man Charged With Murder Of Homeless Man
A man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man who died after an attack at a bus stop in the West-Midlands last month. The 35-year-old from Smethwick was charged and remanded in custody on Sunday, to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

Man Jailed Over Murder Of Romanian Man
An illegal immigrant has been jailed for life for murdering a Romanian man in Manchester. Haroon Ahmed Niged, 27, of Stockport Road, Longsite, pleaded guilty at Manchester Crown Court to murdering Marian-ion Matei. Niged was jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum sentence of 14 years.

Arrest Follows Rape Of Young Boy
A man is being held on suspicion of rape after a young boy was sexually assaulted in Darwen - a market town in Lancashire. A man approached the 12-year-old boy as he was walking in the Sudellside area near his home. He offered the youngster £10 to help find his dog and then led him to a park off Marsh House Lane.
