Scottish Postal Worker Wins Euromillions Jackpot
Scottish postal worker Angela Kelly has told reporters of her shock at realising that she was the biggest ever lottery winner in the UK.
The 40-year-old from East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire won £35.4 million in Friday's Euromillions draw to become the UK's biggest ever lottery winner.
Mrs Kelly did not realise that she had won until she went to work at a Glasgow sorting office on Monday and checked her ticket.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Mrs Kelly said that she got colleagues at the sorting office to check the lucky dip ticket.
Mrs Kelly, who has been separated from husband Gerry for eight years and has a 14-year-old son, said that she would be leaving her job but would work for one more day to do a handover.
When asked what she planned to spend her winnings, Mrs Kelly said that she had "no idea".
