Fourth Person Charged Over Garry Newlove Death

A fourth teenager has been charged with the murder of Garry Newlove in Cheshire.

Father-of-three Mr Newlove, 47, was attacked after he confronted a group of youths outside his home in Station Road North in Warrington on Friday night.

He was taken to hospital suffering massive injuries, including trauma to his head, and he died on Sunday afternoon.

Three male youths, two aged 15 and 16, appeared before Runcorn Youth Court on Monday charged with Mr Newlove's murder.

They were remanded in custody to appear before Warrington Youth Court on August 20.

On Wednesday, Adam William Swellings, 18, from Crewe was charged with Mr Newlove's murder. He was remanded in custody at Runcorn Magistrates' Court on Wednesday to appear before Warrington Crown Court on August 24.

Two teenagers are still being questioned by police in connection with the attack.
