Teens Remanded Over Man's Death

Three teenagers have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man who died after confronting a group of youths outside his home in Cheshire.

It is believed that Garry Newlove, 47, was attacked after he confronted youths outside his home in Station Road North in Warrington on Friday night.

He was taken to hospital suffering massive injuries, including trauma to his head, and he died on Sunday afternoon.

Three male youths, two aged 15 and 16, appeared before Runcorn Youth Court on Monday charged with Mr Newlove's murder.

They were remanded in custody to appear before Warrington Youth Court on August 20.

Police are continuing to question an 18-year-old youth who was arrested on Monday.

Three other youths arrested in connection with the same inquiry have been released without charge.

Mr Newlove is understood to have been married with three daughters, aged 19, 16 and 12.

Three youths remanded in Damilola murder case
Three youths have appeared in court, charged with the murder of ten-year-old schoolboy, Damilola Taylor. The three teenagers from Peckham, Hassan Jihad, 19, and two brothers, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were remanded in custody.

Newlove Widow Calls For Death Penalty
The widow of Garry Newlove, who was murdered a group of drunken teenagers, has called for the death penalty to be brought back. Speaking to 'The Sun', Helen Newlove, 45, said that she thought the teenagers who murdered her 47-year-old husband should "pay the ultimate price".

Three of five accused teenagers have been convicted of the murder of Cheshire man Garry Newlove, who was kicked to death outside his home after confronting a group of youths. The 47-year-old sales manager was left in a coma after confronting a group of youths outside his house in Station Road North in Fearnhead on August 12 last year.
