Hundreds Gather For Funeral Of Mother And Children

Hundreds of mourners have paid their final respects to a mother and her two children found bludgeoned to death in their own home.

The bodies of Beverley Samuels, 36, her daughter Kesha Wizzart, 18, and son Fred Wizzard, 13, were discovered at their house in Fallowfield, Manchester, on July 12.

A post-mortem examination revealed all three had died of head injuries.

A statement was read out on behalf of the family which said: "It will be incredibly difficult to say goodbye to Beverley, Kesha and Fred, but we want this to be a day for us to remember how they lived rather than the way they died.

"We want to celebrate the life, love and light they brought to so many."

The funeral cortege was led by a black hearse filled with flowers, followed by three horse-drawn carriages. Scores of onlookers lined the street opposite the church to pay silent tribute.

Kesha had just completed her A-levels and had won a scholarship to study law at the University of Manchester.
